Character, lmage and Reputation became a subject of urgency to me as a result of an observation made while working on a project last year.
...so l went through the questionnaires and somehow got interested in the 'likes' and 'dislikes' of my questionees.
Everyone likes: Honesty, Humility, Integrity, Truth, and every other good thing one can imagine.
Of course, they stated the things they dislikes as opposite of all the things they like.
It left me with a truth and also a question.
Truth
Everyone sincerely can recognize good virtues when they see them.
Question
Who then are the people that: tell the lies we hear daily, cheat others, walk in hatred and corruption towards others?
It seems we all want to appear very attractive before ourselves; deceiving ourselves altogether.
We 'paint' our CVs with fake colours, we lie to our parents, we tell our friends we love them when we do not at all, we tell people we are who we are not.
All these we do because there is a VACUUM to fill. O truly, there is an expectation.
Obviously WE NEED HELP!
Let's please admit we do need help, and seek true help from the Helper - The Holy Spirit (Matthew 7:7, John 14:18)
He can only help us through the Word of God [Jesus, the Christ]; for the Holy Spirit glorifies Christ in every place/life (John 16:14)
He refines any type of man (Malachi 3:3-4).
"Return" He says. (Isaiah 30:15). I trust we will return and be made like our Father (God Almighty).
Then He won't stop till we look just like Him. (2 Corinthians 3:18)...we must just keep looking at Jesus
Will it take time?
O yes it will. We must sit down with The Word. (Mark 3:14, Luke 10:39,42)
After knowing His ways and touching His Grace, we will walk in His ways and live out His days.
I wish us not just speed, but more importantly, SAFETY
