Lessons from the birth of CHRIST

In the spirit of the season, as I studied the events that surrounded the birth of Jesus, I stumbled upon these secrets.

1. Jesus was born as a CHILD but given as a SON
"For unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given..." Isaiah 9:6

Birth is the point of entry and not a destination. It is the common denominator and starting line of life's race. When you were born; you came as a child. Transition from childhood to adulthood requires a deliberate decision to grow. Concerning Jesus, the bible said "the child grew in wisdom and statue".
God will not present you to your world until you are ready for your world.

How do you grow?   It is simple!

"As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may GROW thereby (1Peter 2:2).

It doesn't matter how great your destiny looks and how rich you may be in Christ. Growth is a license to access. You must eat good food(not just physical food- mental and spiritual inclusive), eat the word, eat books, messages...
As it is written, "Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all" (Gal 4:1). Today, servants ride on horses and Princes walk because someone refused to grow. Remember that, "In Ramah, Rachel wept for her children and refused to be comforted because  her children died-Matt 2:18(paraphrased).
The innocent children died because they were children. it was a bad day when been a child was not a ticket for survival. They were innocent but they DIED! Life is not meant to be stagnant. When you are growing you are glowing but when you are stagnant; you stink.

2. God gave command to favor the fulfilment of the prophecy -Luke 2:1.
The only thing that qualified Jesus to be recognized as the born king was for him to be born in Bethlehem. Few days to his birth, Mary was not in Bethlehem.  Heaven had an emergency meeting that led to the decree made by the king. To every other person, the purpose of the decree was for census and tax collection. It was much more than that! It was a divine arrangement to fulfil a prophecy. Listen! God will make sure all things work together for good for the righteous. The exams you failed this year, the admission you were denied, the relationship that didn't  work, the job you lost... may be God giving a decree and realigning you for the fulfilment of your prophecy.
God will exalt valleys, bring low mountains , straiten crooked paths all to favor the expression of your destiny. He is committed to fulfilling you.

3. Jesus was born in a manger but never remained in the manger. Luke 2:7

Jesus chose to come from the humblest family so that he can relate with men of all classes. No matter how low you may seem to be, Christ was there and he knows how it feels like. His kingdom and reign stretches to the depth of your circumstances. Even when you fall, you can't get over Him. You fall in Him and rest in Him. His arms will bear you up. So Moses wrote, “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deut. 33:27 ).
His testimony however is that he rose from the manger, shook himself off and claimed His throne. Yes! He got up; he didn't stay there. Your background is not an excuse; you've got His back, so rise!

4. The birth of Christ TROUBLED Herod. Matt 2:3.
Never expect the devil to clap for your destiny. Your presence is a threat to his kingdom and he is going to fight it. When Joseph's brothers saw the young dreamer coming, they conspired against him to slay him-Gen 37:10-11. The devil is not your friend; he is your enemy!

5. Jesus had no age mate
Herod ordered the killing of every child below two years; only Jesus lived. Pharaoh likewise killed Moses' age mates. These two biblical icons had no mates and they have a lot in common. They were both called to deliver and they fulfilled their callings. You came alone and you have neither destiny mate nor grace mate. You don't have to compare or seek to look like someone  else. You are unique, special and unprecedented.

Stand hard on these revelations and rule in 2018.

Compliment of the season and happy new year in advance.
